Experiential Education
Immersive Improv Theater
Have you ever sat and watched honeybees perform? They pay no attention to their audeince and do their task with rigor and grace. Above all, they never worry if they are "doing it right." Honeybees teach performance artists an important lesson. If you can take being true to yourself seriously, then you can literally create the beauty we see in the world.
Black box theaters are cool, but remember what it was like to play outside? Engaging with soil, air, water, and sunlight expands the imagination, and helps performers feel more supported and at ease. When our bodies release tension and receive real-time sensory input that isn't fabricated or synthetic, we can in turn build more authentic worlds with our scene partners.
Nature is my favorite collaborator.
